Looking for a way to have your child practice spelling their name? Do you have an abundance of toy cars and trucks in your house? Then, this is the activity for you! To help my son organize his collection of cars and trucks, I came up with this parking garage idea. I created three garages out of wrapping paper cut into rectangular pieces. Two of my favorite things- children's books and cake! Combine the two and you have a match made in heaven. Each year I try to make birthday cakes inspired by favorite books from the past year for my kids. When my oldest son turned one, I made this truck cake to go with My Truck is Stuck. This week if full of milestone birthdays in my house. I turn 40 and my youngest son turns 1! There will be a whole lot of cake eating and as always a lot of reading.
