Skills: Isolating and Identifying Beginning Sounds
Prep Work:
-Print the refuse truck clip cards. Cut apart the cards. There are two per page. Laminate for durability if desired.
-You will also need some clothespins or small tokens such as mini erasers to place on the correct refuse bin.
Directions:
Have students identify the letter and beginning sound on each garbage truck. Then, they should look at both trash cans and identify the picture on each while isolating the beginning sound.
Students will then clip a clothespin or place a small token on the trash can that matches the beginning sound on the truck.
