When it comes time to pick a gift for a favorite teacher or librarian, we often resort to a candle or a coffee mug.  But, I challenge you to get a little more creative and try one of these fun gifts that will really let that special teacher or librarian that you appreciate them.  I’ve come up with some amazing librarian and teacher present ideas that will delight the recipient.

Librarian and Teacher Present Ideas

Let me start by saying that the most meaningful present you can give is a handwritten note of appreciation to a librarian or teacher.  And…make sure to let the principal or director know how much you appreciate that librarian or teacher too.

I must say that if any of my family members are reading this that I’ll be happy with anything on this list that I haven’t already bought for myself.

Teacher Gifts to Use

different children's books puzzle

If I need to escape and unwind, a puzzle is perfect.  And, I can’t think of a more perfect puzzle for a teacher or librarian than this one.  It’s the Bedtime Stories 1000 piece puzzle.

We can never have too many bags to carry our books.  I have this [easyazon_link identifier=”B004XISI9A” locale=”US” tag=”groboobyboo-20″]Out of Print World of Eric Carle, The Very Hungry Caterpillar Tote Bag[/easyazon_link]and it has held up incredibly well.

Pair this mug from Ideal Bookshelf with a gift card to a local coffee shop and you’ve got a gift that will get used.

book scarf

I just recently bought a book-themed cardigan from Svaha, but I was also eyeing this book scarf which I think would make a great teacher or librarian gift.

For adults, comes [easyazon_link identifier=”1452176515″ locale=”US” tag=”groboobyboo-20″]The I Wonder Bookstore[/easyazon_link] by Shinsuke Youshitake. Imagine walking into a bookstore where are the books were about books. It’s a fun one for all book lovers.

[easyazon_image align=”center” height=”500″ identifier=”0801072921″ locale=”US” src=”https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51+00TZepgL.jpg” tag=”groboobyboo-20″ width=”357″]

I get most of my adult reading recommendations from Modern Mrs. Darcy.  Anne Bogel is the author of that blog and also a few books of her own.  Grab a copy of [easyazon_link identifier=”0801072921″ locale=”US” tag=”groboobyboo-20″]I’d Rather Be Reading[/easyazon_link] for a teacher or other reading fan in your life.  There is lots to relate to inside.

And, I don’t know a teacher who wouldn’t love more books for their classroom.  So, giving a gift card to a local independent bookstore or purchasing some favorites to give would be a perfect gift too.  Check out my Amazon store for my new favorites of 2019.

I hope these teacher present ideas inspire you to find a just-right gift for a teacher or librarian in your life.
