Toddlers and water play go together like peanut butter and jelly. And, summer is the perfect time for lots of water play. Here are some fantastic ideas for incorporating literacy ideas into your toddler’s water play.
We don’t expect toddlers to memorize all the letters of the alphabet, but it is perfectly appropriate to use letters in their play. You’ll be amazed at how many letters little ones will pick up through their hands-on interaction with the alphabet. All of the activities are meant to be playful and child-centered.
