Whether it’s donuts or doughnuts, I adore them.  However, my missing gallbladder keeps me from enjoying these fried dough slathered in frosting treats these days.  But, I can read children’s books about donuts and that is just what I’m going to do.  Join me!

Our youngest little listeners will enjoy the board book Made With Love-Donuts! by Lea Redmonds.  The book is shaped like a donut complete with a hole in the middle and kids get to guess what each donut is based on the toppings.  Enjoy pumpkin spice, maple, chocolate, and more.

We first discovered Arnie the Doughnut by Laurie Keller via Storyline Online. Arnie awaits his new owner as he sits in the display case at the bakery.  He dreams of what his new home will look like and what he’ll do with his new owner.  But, when his new owner turns out to want to eat him, Arnie needs to come up with a plan quickly.  Also, check out Hello, Arnie also by Keller.
