The Book

Also enjoy Dragons Love Tacos 2after reading the first book.

Taco, Taco, Salsa Game

Dragons Love Tacos Game

Materials: printable sheets (free download below), scissors, timer, laminator (optional)

Set Up and Play:

  • Select the sheet of letters or words you want to play with for the game. Uppercase and lowercase letters are included as well as sheets for each short vowel sound. A blank sheet is included to write your own words too.
  • Cut the cards you wish to use for the game. For each 11 word or letter cards you choose to use, you’ll also need one salsa card.
  • Place the playing cards and salsa card (s) in a mixing bowl or container. Don’t use a clear container.
  • Set a timer for 1 minute.
  • Children draw one card at a time and name it. If they get the answer right, they get to keep the card. If they get it wrong, it goes back into the bowl. If they draw the salsa card, then all of their cards have to be returned to the bowl and play continues.
  • The winner is the player with the most cards after one minute.
