Looking for sound work practice with an Easter theme? This egg-themed sound mapping printable mat can help children map sounds and identify letters to represent those sounds. They are perfect for beginning readers.
How to Use the Sound Mapping Mat
Print and laminate sound mat and cut picture cards.
Place a picture cart on the counter on the mapping page.
Use the sound boxes in the middle of each sheet to push small objects into each egg as you isolate each sound in each of the words. For example- map- /m/ /a/ /p/. Alternatively, you can tap each egg as you isolate the sounds.
Use magnetic letters or small letter manipulatives to spell each word in the boxes.
Write the letters representing each sound you hear in each of the picture words on the egg basket. Use dry-erase markers.
Erase and repeat with a new picture card.
