Feed the Baby ABC Activity

Materials Needed: empty and clean gallon milk jug, scissors, baby printable (see below), tape or glue, small bowl, teaspoon, and small alphabet letters (make sure the sized letters you use are safe for the children you are working with)
Skills Covered: letter recognition, letter-soound correspondence, fine motor strenthening
Set-Up:
- Print the baby printable and cut around the shape.
- Tape or glue baby printable to the side of the milk jug.
- Cut a whole for the baby’s mouth. It should be large enough to get a spoon through.
- Fill a small bowl with alohabet letters and add a spoon.
How to Play: Time to play! Scoop up a letter and carry it to baby’s mouth as you chant the sound associated with the letter. Drop in baby’s mouth and repeat until baby is full. Empty baby and play again and again. Check out the video below to see it in action.
