International Book Giving Day is February 14th! It’s a wonderful day dedicated to getting new, used and borrowed books in the hands of as many children as possible.
To celebrate, I’m doing a variety of things and one of them includes YOU!
First, I will be donating a box of books to a local school in my area. These are books that I have received to review on the blog. Since our community does not have a library, I’m hoping to get books into the hands of kids that need them!
Second, I always give my own kids a book on this day. This year my 3 year-old is obsessed with Thomas the Train so he is getting a Thomas book . My almost 2 year-old always wants the Lift the Tab: Trucks book from the library, so he will be getting his very own copy.
My last way to celebrate is to have a GIVEAWAY for you! I asked on the Growing Book by Book Facebook page which book you wished you had on your bookshelf. The most popular answer was….Pete the Cat! So, I’m giving away two Pete the Cat books. I have Pete the Cat I Love My White Shoes and Pete the Cat and his Four Groovy Buttons. The lucky winner will get to keep one book for themselves and the other book will be donated to a charity, school or library of their choice in their name. Pretty cool!
All you need to do is fill out the Rafflecopter entry below! Good luck!
You must be 18 years-old to enter. Books can only be shipped to US addresses. The giveaway begins on 2/13/14 at 12:00 am (EST) and ends on 2/14/14 at 11:59 pm (EST). Winner will be notified via email and announced on the blog on or about 2/15/14. Winner has 48 hours to respond to the email with mailing information. If the winner does not respond, a new entrant will be randomly chosen.

I think that I would go crazy without a library in our community. If I win, I would like you to donate the extra Pete book to your local school instead of mine since our public library and local school library are subsidized by extra funds from a tax measure.
