P is for Pumpkin Interactive Printable Reader

F is for fall and P is for pumpkin.  Students will have fun finding the letter P on the pumpkins in this interactive printable reader alphabet activity.  So, let’s have some letter fun.

P is for Pumpkin Activity

Materials Needed: printable book for each student (see below), crayons, writing tool such as pencil or marker, scissors, stapler

Preparation:

Print a book for each student.  Cut along the dotted line and assemble in order.  Staple the book.

Using the Book:

On the title page have students write their names. Practice reading the “p” on each pumpkin.

For pages 1-5, have the students follow along or read the text.  Then, they should find and color the pumpkins with a ”p” on them.  Have them count to make sure they have found all of them.

On page 6, students can trace the letter “p” on the pumpkin and color it.

On page 7, read the alphabet together and then the students can practice on their own.  You could also have each student find the letter that their first name begins with and circle it.
