Sneezy the Snowman by Maureen Wright is the story of a snowman looking to get warm. But, you can guess what happens to a warm snowman. So, the kids have to keep rebuilding their friend. And, then he gets cold again. And, well, you get the picture.
Sneezy the Snowman Activities
Sort the Merchandise
Skill: Categorizing
Materials: Printable (free download below), scissors
To Play: Students will sort the merchandise for things that would be found in the winter shop and those items that would sell well in the summer shop.
Hot Chocolate ABC Memory
Skill: Alphabet recognition and matching
Materials: Printable (free download below), scissors, laminator
To Play: Mix cards and place images face down in rows. Take turns flipping two cards to make a correct lowercase and uppercase match. Make a match and keep the pair. Incorrect matches get turned back over and the next player takes a turn.
Variation: If all 52 cards is too overwhelming, select 12 matches to begin.
