Rocket Pizzas

Read Roaring Rockets and then make homemade rocket pizzas! I even have a printable picture recipe for your preschooler to follow.
Apple Butter
Nothing beats the smell of apple butter simmering in the crockpot. I love how easy this recipe is to make and it is perfect for sharing with others. This recipe would pair great with Apple Farmer Annie.
Apple Pie

Another fun recipe to make with apples is pie! And, I think my mom’s apple pie recipe is the best. Apple Pie ABC is a great book to read while the pie bakes.
Blueberry Oatmeal Bowls
Start the morning with a little literacy fun and a healthy breakfast. Read Blueberries for Sal and let the kids make these blueberry oatmeal bowls.
Fuit Salad

Read End of the Rainbow Fruit Salad and then make the fruit salad recipe at the end of the book. Or, try our red, white and green fruit salad variation.
Chicka Coconut Banana Boom Cookies
This is our go to healthy cookie recipe and it pairs nicely with a reading of Chicka Chicka Boom Boom.
Hot Chocolate Banana Muffins

My 3 year-old discovered the secret ingredient in this delicious muffin recipe. Read If You Give a Moose a Muffin while you enjoy the tasty treats.
Dumplings
Dumpling Dreams by Carrie Clickard is the story of chef Joyce Chen. The book has lots of yummy recipe variations at the end.
Family Dinner Book Club
Each month we read a book together as a family and enjoy talking about it at dinner. Daisy at Home always shares a fun themed menu to compliment the book and the kids can help cook too. Check out over 15 different books and menus for your own Family Dinner Book Club.
Cookbooks for Kids

Pretend Soup is my very favorite cookbook for preschoolers! There are lots of cookbooks that are great to use when cooking with kids too.
