I hope you have been enjoying the Booking Across the USA project.  Today, I wanted to share a few of the amazing bloggers’ books and projects they have created.

Northeast Region

Country Fun Child Care in Maine explores a local author, Cathryn Falwell, for their project.  They chose the book, David’s Drawing and then followed up with an art activity.  It’s always so much fun to learn about authors and illustrators in your community!

Ready-Set-Read! is sharing a great list of books as well as graphic organizers, writing samples and a scoring guide.  One of the many books shared is about the Pony Express called, Off Like the Wind The First Ride of the Pony Express by Michael Spradlin.

South Region

Head to Florida to learn all about hurricanes from Teaching Stars.  Several books are highlighted including Hurricane Wolf by Diane Paterson.

Juggling With Kids shares the book, Redwoods by Jason Chin and then shows us how to create our own mini Redwood craft activity.

I contacted eeBoo and they graciously agreed to giveaway one of their great USA Bingo Games to one lucky Growing Book by Book reader.  eeBoo’s USA Bingo Game has regional game cards, chips, and a storing bag.  The game is recommended for ages 5+.

I just found your blog tonight and I have to say, it is probably one of my favorite already. I home school my three children and have taken on a friend of the family whom is in the ninth grade. We just finished our geography day for home school co-op last Tuesday. I really wish I have found this blog before. It contains some of the best information out there. Thank you for taking the time to share with us. I look forward to following you. Also, thank you for offering the giveaway.
