Circle Time Halloween Preschool Songs
Printable Halloween Preschool Songs
One of the most popular resources on Growing Book by Book is our Circle Time Songs and Chants. Here are two Halloween-themed printable songs that build literacy skills.
#1 Going to the Patch
This song is sung to the tune “Going to the Zoo” and builds alphabet matching skills. All you need are some pumpkin props such as foam pumpkins or real mini pumpkins labeled with each letter of the alphabet and the printables included below.
Put your pumpkin props in the middle of your circle. Give each student a pumpkin printable card. Sing the song together and then let the students take turns finding their pumpkin in the patch that matches the letter on their card.
You can differentiate the activity and have students match uppercase and lowercase or just uppercase.
#2 Five Little Owls
This song is sung to the tune “Five Little Ducks” and builds number word awareness, retelling experience, and even counting practice.
Just print out the song and printable props. You can laminate for durability and then glue each piece to a craft stick to create puppet props.
Students can then act out the song as they sing.
