Beginning Sound Clip Cards

This beginning sound activity as a small group, or individual activity. After demonstrating how to do the activity, you could add it to a center/work station. Children will clip the letter to match the beginning sound of each picture on the perfume bottle.
Materials: Skunk printables (free download below), scissors, clothespins, laminator (optional)
Preparation: Print, cut, and laminate if desired the skunk clip cards.
Play: Identify all the images on the perfume bottles. Have students listen and identify the beginning sound they hear.
pizza /p/, taco /t/, nachos /n/, doughnut /d/, etc.
Have students locate the letter associated with representing the sound and add a clothespin clip to that letter.
