The birds are chirping and the trees are blooming.  It is time to teach our preschoolers all about spring.  These spring lesson plans for preschoolers are great for a preschool themed unit inviting the kids to explore the weather, flowers & plants, Earth Day, and baby animals.  And, it’s a literacy-rich unit so kids will be learning and growing their reading and writing skills.

Week 1: Spring Weather

Week 2: Plants & Flowers

Week 3: Earth Day

Week 4: Baby Animals

  • Includes flower nursery and recycling center printables perfect for your dramatic play area including suggested props to add. Each dramatic play center is meant to be set up for two weeks.
  • A printable Earth Day book kids can work on during week three.
  • Circle time songs and rhymes that build literacy skills including “Blow Blow Blow the Wind,” “Did You Ever See a Flower,” “I’m the Planet Earth,” and “Baby Animal Song.”
  • 40+ book recommendations covering each theme in the unit also included in one easy list to take to the library.
